I just got online to read a couple blogs I follow and noticed that my last post is almost a week old. I honestly can not tell you with any certainty any details of the last 7 days. I know I have completed tasks, kept the house up, cooked food, etc. but I honestly am so tired and so overwhelmed with this final remodel push, that I have nothing specific to report about my week.
What I do know for sure as I sit here groping to recount recent events is as follows:
I miss Jerri terribly and am so looking forward to seeing her smiling face on Monday.
I am pretty sure Cindy can get me in for a massage on Monday afternoon and that literally sounds like a little trip to heaven.
I am sure that somewhere deep inside I am so over the top excited about sleeping in the basement this weekend - such a milestone; I do wish that I was rested enough to actually be able to feel that excitement.
I know for sure that I have the most amazing husband in the world. He has been going to work everyday and then coming home to start work all over again. We have been doing at least 4 hours in the basement every night and upwards to 6 hours some nights -- What a man. I also must mention here that Todd has the most tool cleaning prowess I have ever seen. Even at one in the morning after hours of work he cleans every speck of stuff off our tools. I LOVE having clean tools! He also replaced the motor on our Rotovac carpet cleaner today and let me tell you it did not look like a job for just anyone. I was so grateful as it involved electric wire, copper pipe fittings and odd sized bolt thingies.
The last thing I know for sure is that we are going to make all efforts to get our custom closets in this weekend. We have no idea if it is realistic, as we are still highly unsure of exactly what we are building where. But, if it goes like the rest of this project we will simply have faith and the pieces will come together.
I am sorry there are no new pictures -- too busy for that apparently. I will make an effort to get some taken this weekend as things progress. There are all kinds of fun things on the horizon (like my new sconce lighting).
I will most likely not post until Monday. That is if I am not too busy running around like a mad woman getting ready for Granny Gert to hit town. We are all very excited about her visit, especially Miss B who has a whole list of great granny activities planned.
I wish all of you a great weekend - play for us.

Play or more like PRAY...
ReplyDeleteI should have said both. I want you all to play on our behalf, but - Definitely pray for us too..pray for us to have time to sleep and cook food and sleep and finish the basement and sleep.
